Sportsnet.ca reported legendary tough man Stu Grimson was coming to the San Jose Sharks. After the shockwaves around the league subsided, Stu signed a contract with the Nashville Predators.

Sharks GM Dean Lombardi traded for LW Adam Graves [NYR] on the second day of the NHL entry draft.

Graves [6'0, 205lbs, Born: April 12, 1968] tallied 10 goals and 16 assists last season for the New York Rangers.
Prospects Mikael Samuelsson [RW] and Christian Gosselin [D] were traded for Adam along with future considerations [$$].

Marcel Goc goes first
Marcel Goc [6'1, 187lbs, Born: Aug 24, 1983], the first SJ pick Saturday, is a talented young center playing his second year in the German elite league.

Goc was ranked the 12th best European forward prospect by the Central Scouting Bureau before the draft.

It will likely be two years before Marcel joins Marco for bratwurst in downtown SJ.
